Bozidar Brazda (b.1972) is a canadian born artist; he lives and works in New York.
Brazda’s work consists of silk screens, wall texts, and audio recordings. In recent years the artist has moved away from his earlier “narrative-driven” installations to a minimalist Pop Art that reflects his continued interest in the ‘edges of popular culture’. Music, writing, and collaboration feature prominently in his approach to art.
Bozidar Brazda has exhibited at international museums and galleries including Whitney Museum of American Art (NY), MoMA PS1 (NY), The Kitchen (NY), Reena Spaulings (NY), and Martos (NY).
He has written for artnet.com, Flash Art and Dazed online.
His work has been featured in W magazine, purple.com, Art Forum, vogue.com, and Interview Magazine and exhibited at MoMa/PS1, the Whitney Museum and the Saatchi Museum in London.
Brazda plays in the post-punk band TXTR with model and singer Ruby Aldridge.
